What I’m Reading in January [Book List]

I have my 2018 Book List made but I just haven’t had a chance to sit down and type it out. BUT I wrote a little thing on Instagram the other night, so I thought I would post since friends are frequently asking me what I am reading.

UPDATE: Here’s My 2018 Book List >>> joycemoy.com/booklist2018 (monthly lists linked at the bottom of post)

Being a life-long learner and bookwormish means I read some pretty random things sometimes. I mean, if I run out of stuff, I read the backs of cereal boxes or car magazines. Sometimes it doesn’t even matter if it is stuff I agree with or not. I really think we can learn something from everything. Soooo…not sure there is even a theme to this month’s books but…

Here’s my January Book List:

📚 1) *A Gathering of Days by Joan W. Blos

I can’t say if we will or will not homeschool through high school because if God calls us to something else, we may just need to go. But that prompting has not come, so if we continue, the girls will end up reading this book from the book list for Challenge A(?). I don’t want to have to gather all the books when/if it comes time so I am buying them here and there…and reading them when I can. 🤓gathering-of-days

📚 2) *Creating Great Choices by Jennifer Riel and Roger L. Martin

I received a #LeaderBox as a bonus for a purchase and this is one of the books in the box. It comes with quote cards and an Activation Guide (kinda like Cliffs Notes but better!). It is not a book I would pick up by choice so I am looking forward to some interesting takeaways. 🐛 (If you’d like to try Leader Box, you can use *my referral link to receive $5 off your first box. –> *leaderbox.cratejoy.com/refer/Joyce-LWPHGYCH It would definitely be an investment in your leadership development and education.)

📚 3) *Your Best Year Ever by Michael Hyatt

I have already read this one but I’m rereading to reinforce a few things that I need reminding about regarding goals. (Lots of “re”s in that last one. Sorry.) Backed by research and studies and personal experience, I know those who have big vision can gain some clarity about the nitty-gritty details. 🥅 (As of this blog post’s publishing, you are still able to get $291 worth of bonuses if you order the book.)
